GLASS FIBRE PAINT REMOVER

FIBREGLASS PAINT REMOVER is what is needed when the anti-fouling is to be removed from the fibreglass hull.
FIBREGLASS PAINT REMOVER is a specific paint remover for fibreglass which thanks to its special formula removes the anti-fouling layers without biting into the gelcoat and helps removing the layers and the incrustations accumulated over the years giving back to the hull its original smoothness. It is important to apply it generously and uniformly on the surface in question. When the coating starts “moving” remove the anti-fouling completely with a very smooth spatula applying light pressure, “retouch” the gelcoat and sponge it with fresh water to remove all impurities.
Using paint removers, it is important that the paint to eliminate is removed by the paint remover itself because, in the case of exposed wood that have to remain intact, the surface can be scratched if the pressure applied on the scraper is too high. Therefore the pressure applied on the spatula is to be uniform to completely lift the entire paint film. If this is not the case we will have to wait the necessary time for the paint remover to work . Making use of a metal scouring pad (like the exceptional Life Scrub All) is a big help because it allows to uniform the entire surface, renew by continuously rinsing it with water and it also properly scrapes the shafts, the screw, sea valves, the discharges, etc..
At the end of the work the entire hull is to be thoroughly washed with fresh water before starting the new cycle of painting.
The paint remover can also be removed using a high-pressure water jet cleaner.
In this phase of renewal of the fibreglass hull it is also advisable to evaluate (in the case the hull is in perfect condition, without osmosis) whether it is necessary to apply a C-systems' 10 10 CFS protective treatment (see the features and the application systems in the chapter about fibreglass) because the additional cost for the epoxy protection in this phase of work will make up only a minimal percentage.
FIBREGLASS PAINT REMOVER will smooth the hull making it new again, without any irregularities due to the anti-fouling which reduces the speed and the output of the boat.
A good economical and more rapid system to remove the anti-fouling incrustations from the gelcoat is washing the hull with a waterjet-sandblaster applying the right force and using the right nozzle angle during the work.
The so treated surface is like an egg shell, perfectly suitable to receive the new protective treatment and the self-polishing anti-fouling Nautilus S.P.

NITROMORS ORIGINAL e NITROMORS WATER WASHABLE

When the work is carried out on other materials NITROMORS ORIGINAL (fluid formula) and NITROMORS WATER WASHABLE (thick formula, also suitable for vertical works, washable with high pressure water to take away all removed paint) are the right answer.
The paint removers NITROMORS are employed by LIFE BOAT INSTITUTION, by BRITISH MUSEUM, etc. and they are B.S.S. approved
By applying and using paint removers as well as solvent products (paints, anti-fouling, primer, etc.) it is indispensable to guarantee good ventilation to change the air, wear suitable clothing, use masks, gloves and whatever is required.
In case of skin and eyes contamination the best help is to wash them abundantly and long under running fresh water.
